Kiev: North Korea on Wednesday morning, October 2, launched an unidentified shell in the direction of the Sea of Japan.
This was reported by the military of South Korea, reports Yonhap.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea (JCS) confirmed that the shells were fired from Wonsan on the morning of October 2, but no information was provided about what type of missiles they were — type, range, and maximum altitude.
"Our military is monitoring the situation in the event of additional launches and supporting combat readiness", - the JCS said.
It was reported that since June last year, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un met three times to discuss ways to resolve the crisis in connection with North Korea’s nuclear missile programs, but significant progress was not achieved.
