Brussels: Head of the European Council Donald Tusk together with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker took part in preparations for the forthcoming G20 summit in Hamburg.
"The fact that we meet today is a perfect example of the fact that Europe takes more responsibility internationally in these unstable times. Speaking about the greatest global challenges, Europe becomes an adviser for all those who value liberal democracy and human rights, free and fair trade, the fight against climate change, against poverty and cruelty. We are committed to protecting and strengthening the laws on which the international order is based. That's why we will speak with one voice next week, "Tusk said.
The G20 summit will be held on July 7-8 in Hamburg. US President Donald Trump will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the G20 summit.
