Kiev: President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky believes that telephone conversations between leaders of countries should not be published.
The head of state said this during a press conference after a meeting with US President Donald Trump in New York, which was broadcasted by hromadske.
“Sometimes such things, such calls between the presidents of independent countries, they should not be published. Because, you know, there is geopolitics, some plans, etc., but I’m not afraid of it”, -Zelensky said.
He also added that he did not give personal consent to the publication of the transcript of the conversation with Trump, which took place in July.
“If permission is required legally, I just don’t know the format. If there had to be written permission, this is one question ... I just thought that they would publish their part” - the head of Ukrain added.
Recall, on September 25, the White House published a transcript of a telephone conversation between Trump and Zelensky.
