Kiev: The European Union Court lifted personal sanctions extended by the EU Council against ex-president Viktor Yanukovych in 2018. This is stated in the decision of the EU Court of General Jurisdiction, which is at the disposal of the European truth.

At the same time, Yanukovych continues to remain under existing sanctions until March 2020, the court added.

Earlier, spokesman for the son of former president Alexander Yanukovich, Yuri Kirasir, said that the European Court lifted sanctions against Yanukovych. The defense of the former president intends to seek criminal prosecution of all those who were "involved in organizing his political persecution".
