Kiev: US President Donald Trump and Polish President Duda signed a declaration to increase the contingent of American troops in Poland.

"Poland and the United States have agreed to increase the number of US troops in Poland - the corresponding declaration was signed by the presidents of the two countries in New York," - the statement said.
The New York Declaration on Enhanced Defense Cooperation is a detailed description of the Defense Cooperation Declaration of June 12 this year, which confirms the presence of 4,500 U.S. military personnel in Poland and announces the deployment of about a thousand more people.

The signed document also emphasizes that both states continue to strengthen strategic and defensive relations, "which improves the mutual security and security of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization."
