Kyiv: Hong Kong police on Friday detained a group of opposition activists in the government building.
It is reported by the newspaper The South China Morning Post.
“Three representatives of the radical opposition political movement Demosisto and two students took part in a sitting demonstration in the hall of the building. The police also detained several of their supporters who had gathered outside the complex, including party chairman Ivan Lama,” the statement said.
According to some estimates, over 300 people suspected of breaking the law on the mainland, in whose extradition are interested the authorities of the People's Republic of China, are hiding on the territory of this autonomous region.
