Kyiv: At least two American crews in 2018 reported unpredictability in the behavior of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in autopilot mode.
It is reported by The NewYork Times, with reference to the US government database of accidents.
"At least two pilots who flew the Boeing 737 MAX 8 on regular flights to the United States expressed alarm in November that their aircraft suddenly" dived "after turning on the autopilot," the newspaper said.
It is also added that in both cases the crews managed to raise the aircraft again after the autopilot was turned off.
The final reasons for the tragedy of the Lion Air flight in October 2018 have not yet been officially made public. However, some experts believe that the sudden decline of the liner could have started due to incorrect software on the onboard computer Boeing.
