Kyiv: The conflict in Syria must remain a priority on the international agenda.
This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini.
“We are going here to keep Syria and the Syrians on the international agenda. We do not want the conflict to be forgotten, the Syrians to be forgotten when the international community has less to talk about it,” she said.
Mogherini noted that the conference has two main tasks.
“Firstly, this is support for the political process under the aegis of the UN. And the second is the mobilization of significant humanitarian aid,” she added.
We recall that representatives of more than 85 countries and organizations at the invitation of the European Union and the UN came to the European capital to collect funds to help the Syrian population and refugees until March 14, as well as discuss the latest events in Syria and the state of the crisis resolution process in this country.
