Kyiv: The de facto rulers of occupied Abkhazia expressed confidence that the President of Belarus once recognizes the “independence” of the self-proclaimed republic.
This was announced by the former "Prime Minister" and "ex-foreign minister" of Abkhazia, the so-called Chairman of the United Abkhazia party, Sergei Shamba.
“Traditionally, Abkhazia has always had a good attitude towards Belarus, in the summer tourists come to us from this state. We hope that sometime recognition will come from Belarus, we will wait for this moment,” said Shamba.
Earlier, Lukashenko said that Belarus could be completely isolated if the independence of occupied Abkhazia was recognized.
