Tbilisi: Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Gakhariya met with the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel-General Petro Tsyhykal.

During the meeting, the sides discussed close cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Ukraine. The Minister presented the current reforms carried out in the framework of the System Update of the Ministry of the Interior.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Temur Kekelidze and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia Ihor Dolhov.

During the visit, a delegation of the State Border Service of Ukraine visited the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

In addition, the parties signed an agreement on cooperation between the structural units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, responsible for border security, and the Office of the State Border Service of Ukraine during 2019-2020.
