Kyiv: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia intends to send observers to the election of the President of Ukraine on March 31 as part of the OSCE mission.
This was reported by the press service of the diplomatic department.
“Despite this, the Russian side intends to exercise its right to participate in international election observation in another OSCE participating state, in this case in Ukraine. Our actions are based on the mutual commitments of all OSCE countries to ensure unhindered access of observers to each other’s elections,” it says.
Short-term observers of the mission will be monitored directly on election day.
It is noted that on February 12, the Foreign Ministry of Russia received a circular request from the OSCE for sending short-term observers to the international mission on monitoring the presidential elections in Ukraine.
