Kyiv: Vitol, the world's largest oil trader, has entered into a contract for the export of crude oil with the company ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company). The company is ready to charter ships that are under US sanctions for the supply of petroleum products to Syria and the Crimea.
It is reported by the Report.
“As it became known to the Report, Vitol signed a contract for the export of crude oil with the company ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company) from the field developed by the ENOC subsidiary, the company Dragon Oil on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea,” the report said.
In addition to the fact that these ships are more than 45 years old and they represent a significant danger to the ecology of the Caspian Sea, they are owned and operated by Trans-Flot JSC, Samara, which is on the OFAC (Organization of Foreign Assets Control) sanction list for organizing the supply of petroleum products to Syria and Crimea.
