Kyiv: Canada opposes a foreign military invasion to Venezuela.
This was reported by Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland on the CBC channel.
"Canada clearly states that this process (transfer of power - ed.) should be led by the people of Venezuela and be peaceful. We are convinced that diplomatic and political measures are the way out, so Canada does not support a military invasion," said Freeland.
In her opinion, Venezuelans themselves must demonstrate a desire to return their country to a democratic path of development.
"The people of Venezuela should show courage - as it has already done - to restore democracy in their own state in accordance with the Constitution," the Canadian Foreign Minister stressed.
