Kyiv: In Japan, nine companies in different parts of the country received envelopes with potassium cyanide powder.

“The envelopes were delivered last Friday to the offices of some pharmaceutical companies in Tokyo and Osaka, a food company in the northern city of Sapporo, and also to the newspaper publishing house Mainichi Shimbun in the capital of Japan. Investigators checked the contents of the envelopes and found out that cyanide was mixed into the powder in several cases,” the report says.
In addition, several letters were sent on behalf of the founder of the extremist sect Aum Shinrikyo Chizuo Matsumoto, known as Shoko Asahara.
