Kyiv: The EU strongly urges an immediate political process leading to free and secure elections in accordance with constitutional order. This is reported by the press service of the Council of Europe.
“The EU fully supports the National Assembly as a democratically elected institution, whose powers must be restored and respected. Civil rights, freedom, and security of all members of the National Assembly, including its president, Juan Guaido, must be respected and respected,” the report said.
Representatives of the Council of Europe believe that the voices of the Venezuelans cannot be ignored, because the Venezuelan people have the right to demonstrate respect, to freely choose their leaders and decide their future. And the methods of violence that the administration uses now will not help resolve the conflict.
"The European Union and its member states remain ready to support the restoration of democracy and the rule of law in Venezuela through a reliable peaceful political process in accordance with the Venezuelan constitution," the press center said.
We recall that despite the recent inauguration of the new president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, Georgia does not recognize his legitimacy.
