Kyiv: On Monday, January 21, the EU Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers will be held in Brussels.

According to UNN, during the meeting, the European Union foreign ministers may approve sanctions against the officers of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Anatoliy Chepiga and Alexander Mishkin, whom the British authorities consider to be involved in the poisoning of the former double agent Sergey Skripal and his daughter Yulia from the novichok nerve agent in the city of Salisbury in March 2018.

The topic of the meeting on the website of the Council of the EU is “misinformation”. The meeting will begin at 09:00 Brussels time (10:00 Kyiv time).

In addition, today, on January 21, trilateral gas talks between Ukraine, Russia and the EU will be held in Brussels.
