Kyiv: Macedonian authorities are asking for help in gathering evidence of the theft of 1.7 million euros from bank safes in 2017.
About this, the Associated Press writes.
The Macedonian Prosecutor's Office is suspected of robbing four citizens of Ukraine, as well as citizens of three other countries — the United States, Kazakhstan, and Moldova.
The burglary was discovered after reports from customers of two banks in Skopje stating that jewels, cash, and other valuables disappeared from their safes.
According to the source, the suspects rented safes in two banks in July-November 2017, using false identification cards.
We recall that the Macedonian parliamentarians approved the amendment of the Constitution, providing for the change of the name of the country from the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
