Kyiv: Germany and China signed agreements to strengthen coordination in the banking, financial and market areas and promised to continue open market access and deepen cooperation with a view to expanding economic ties. This is reported by the local media.
“German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz and Chinese Vice Prime Minister Liu He arrived at the Chinese-German High-Level Financial Dialogue at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing,” the report said.
It is known that both parties have confirmed that they will strengthen the coordination of macroeconomic policies and pragmatic cooperation in the fiscal and financial spheres and expand strategic cooperation.
Trade between the two countries has softened amid the uncertainty caused by the US-China trade war. Countries agreed to work on improving international economic governance, combating trade protectionism and supporting a rule-based multilateral trading system through the World Trade Organization.
We recall that in Beijing, negotiations began between the delegations of the United States and China on the harmonization of a new trade deal.
