Kyiv: The enthronement of the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, will take place on February 3. He stated this on Thursday, January 17th.
It is noted that he made such a statement at the presentation of the book of the head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, His Beatitude, Sviatoslav Shevchuk.
"Today I would like to officially announce that the enthronement will take place on February 3," said Epiphanius.
He invited the head of the UGCC to the enthronement ceremony and noted that the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church should further develop cooperation and bring it to a higher level.
“We are starting the first steps of our cooperation, although so far we have also had cooperation, in the future we will also continue our dialogue, cooperation, we are Christians, we must do good together. We want to start good fruitful cooperation between the Orthodox and Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, which previously existed, but we want to deepen it," said Epiphanius.
