Kyiv: The conflict that continues between Qatar and its neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf continues for too long and interferes with the unity of the region in confronting Iran’s aggression. This was announced by US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo.
“When we have a common challenge, disputes between countries with common goals never help. They never allow you to give a decent response to the actions of the enemy and his challenges,” said Pompeo at a press conference in Doha, Qatar.
Pompeo also noted that the United States hopes to resolve this conflict, which should occur as soon as possible.
It is known that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Egypt reduced diplomatic, transport and trade relations with Qatar in June 2017.
We recall that on Sunday, December 9, Saudi Arabia hosted the annual summit of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf, an organization that was created in 1980 as a stronghold against the more powerful neighbors of Iran and Iraq.
