Kyiv: The European Union called for the release of some Ukrainian political prisoners. This is stated in a statement the press secretary of the EU Foreign Service Maya Kosiancic.
It is known that we are talking about Pavlo Hryb, the Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov and the sailors detained in the Kerch Strait.
“Ukrainian doctors should be allowed to examine him while he is in custody, as required by the recent court order of the European Court of Human Rights,” says a public statement about the case of Pavlo Hryb.
Also, other prisoners require a medical examination.
“We expect that he will be immediately released without delay and will provide access to urgent and proper medical care,” is said about the Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov.
In addition, this statement of the EU once again underlined the fact that Ukrainian sailors who were captured after the incident in the Kerch Strait should be immediately released.
We recall that the Ukrainians sent 55 letters to political prisoners who are on illegal grounds in Russian prisons.
