Kyiv: Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller's staff is checking members of the Ukrainian delegation who attended the inauguration ceremonies for the inauguration of President Donald Trump in January 2017.
It is reported by The New York Times.
“About 12 Ukrainian politicians and businessmen were present at the inauguration and related events. Some Ukrainians who came to Washington for the inauguration, or their allies, promoted grand deals or “peaceful” plans that met Russia's interests, including because of the lifting of sanctions,” the message said.
Investigators interview witnesses to find out how members of the Ukrainian delegation got to the events, who invited them, who they met with and what they discussed.
The issue of campaign donations is also being investigated.
As stated recently by US Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, the ex-head of the campaign headquarters of US President Donald Trump, political consultant Paul Manafort, passed the survey data during the 2016 campaign to his business partner Konstantin Kilimnik.
