Tbilisi: In Georgia, adjika of the Abkhaz and Mingrelian region have been added to the list of monuments of cultural heritage. This is reported by the Georgian and the Ukrainian media.
As noted, the director of the National Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia, Nikoloz Antidze, signed a decree according to which the element of intangible cultural heritage, “the manufacturing technology of Georgian adjika, was given the status of a monument of intangible cultural heritage”. Last year, the status of a monument to intangible culture was assigned to the Georgian feast. The relevant order of the Georgian National Agency for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage was published on the website of the Legislative Gazette.
