Kyiv: After the entry into force of a visa-free regime between Georgia and the Schengen countries, the European Union was visited by 339,255 Georgian citizens.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, most often citizens traveled to Germany - 135,884 trips. Next come Italy (80,520), Greece (68,807), Poland (42,054), and Spain (40,914 visits). The top ten also included France (39,120), Hungary (24,120), Cyprus (18,258) and Austria (16,294).
During the period from March 28, 2017, to December 9, 2018, the Georgians made 553,748 visits to the territory of the European Union.
We recall that in the Forbes ranking of the best countries for business in 2019, Georgia ranks 44th, ahead of countries such as Qatar, Thailand, China, Croatia, Bulgaria, Mexico, Turkey, Uruguay, South Africa, Brazil, and India.
