Kyiv: European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn called on Kosovo to unblock regional cooperation in the interests of the stability of the whole region.

Hahn wrote about this on his Twitter page after holding a meeting with the Serbian President in Belgrade.

“A good meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade, during which we discussed the introduction of Kosovo tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is contrary to the CEFTA Free Trade Agreement, the REA regional economic zone and regional cooperation,” Johannes Hahn stated. 

He called on partners in Kosovo to “unlock regional cooperation and trade” and stressed the need to return to dialogue in the interests of the stability of the entire region. 

Recall, the European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn called on the Kosovo government to cancel the decision of imposing duties in the amount of 100% for goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
