Brussels: Johannes Hahn, the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, called on the Kosovo government to reverse the decision to impose 100% duty on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. About this, the commissioner wrote on his page on Twitter.
“This act - which also hurts Kosovo consumers and businesses - must be reversed immediately. Kosovo holds the CEFTA chairmanship and thus has special responsibility,” the statement said.
It notes that Kosovo has a special responsibility because it serves as the chair of the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA). “I'll attend CEFTA week in Pristina soon and expect this to be solved by then,” wrote Khan.
Earlier, Mogherini said that the government of Kosovo should annul the decision to impose duties on neighboring Balkan countries.
