Kyiv: November 14 - 16, 2018 The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin, will be on a working visit to the United States of America.

It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the official portal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The main purpose of the visit to Washington is to hold on November 16 the inaugural meeting of the updated format of the Ukraine-US Strategic Partnership Commission. The event will be held under the joint chairmanship of the heads of foreign ministries of Ukraine and the United States, ”the statement reads.

Minister Pavel Klimkin’s visit to the US capital also includes talks with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo, meetings with leading US lawmakers, and communication with representatives of the American expert community .

It was also reported that during the visit, an interview with Pavel Klimkin is scheduled for the American media.

Yesterday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin in Kyiv, together with US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, signed a joint statement “On Civilian Nuclear Energy”, which confirms the common mission of our countries in providing reliable, clean, stable nuclear energy for the people of Ukraine.

And even earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on his Twitter page introduced the new speaker of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Instead of Mariana Betsy, who will become the ambassador of Ukraine in Estonia, diplomat Yekaterina Zelenko, who previously worked in the Ukrainian embassy in Germany, became the new head of the ministry’s press service.
