Kyiv: Public activists who attended a meeting of the temporary investigation commission of the Verkhovna Rada to study the facts of the attack on the adviser to the mayor of Kherson, Katerina Viktorovna Gandzyuk and other activists, demand that Geraschenko’s MP is removed from the Popular Front faction. This was reported by one of the activists.
"Anton Gerashchenko, after the attack on Gandzjuk, copied information about involvement in the attack on the person who was wrongly suspected of this," she stated.
However, none of the present Deputies supported such an idea. At the same time, the head of the VSK, Borislav Bereza, noted that the parliamentarians are delegated to the commission by the factions and approved by the Verkhovna Rada, therefore, none of them can be removed from work in the commission.
In response to the demands for expulsion from the commission, Gerashchenko explained that he commented on the detention of one of the suspects in the attack since his involvement in the crime was at that time the official version of the investigation.
Recall, on November 6, parliamentarians supported the decision to establish a temporary investigative commission to investigate attacks on activists and the murder of Kherson activist Katerina Gandzyuk.
