Kyiv: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided a loan to Kyiv Medical University. In the amount of EUR 1.3 million for the purchase of equipment and the new building, with an area of 4.2 thousand sq. m. This was announced on the official Facebook page by the senior adviser on external relations of the EBRD Anton Usov.

“The EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) supported the first project in the field of education in Ukraine. The loan of EUR 1.3 million was provided to Kyiv Medical University in the expansion of its activities. The funds will be used to purchase specialized equipment and a new building with an area of 4.2 thousand square meters, that will provide study places for more than 1,000 new students within five years, ”he noted.

In addition, according to a representative of the EBRD, a grant of 60.3 thousand euros for pre-project support was also received for the project, as part of the EU4Business initiative of the European Union.
