Kyiv: Social activists staged a rally of support under the Georgian embassy in Kyiv. According to the rally participant Elizaveta Bogutskaya, activists are unhappy with the process of electing the Georgian president, but at the same time, they are aimed at supporting all Georgians who vote in elections.
“We are unhappy with everything. However, here we are also to support our Georgian friends, their choice and the desire to live along the route that Saakashvili suggested being the president. And this is exactly what the Georgians aspire to,” she said.
Bohutskaya also added that today a mechanism will be launched that can destroy the entire oligarchic system in Georgia and Ukraine.
More than 300 people are expected to join the rally.
We recall that today, October 28, the citizens of Georgia will elect the president for the last time by direct voting for a term of six years.
According to the press speaker of the Central Election Commission, Ana Mikeladze, all polling stations in the country opened on time.
