Kyiv: Suspected by the Norwegian authorities in spying, Russian Mikhail Bochkarev was released from custody.

It is noted that the Norwegian authorities suspect Mikhail Bochkarev, an employee of the administration of the Federation Council of Federal Duties of Russia, of espionage.

It is added that the court rejected the request of the police to extend the arrest of the Russian citizen, because of which the prosecutor's office filed an appeal.

On October 19, the police withdrew their request to extend the arrest to Bochkaryov and released him.

As reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation demanded that Norway withdraw unfounded accusations from the staff member of the Federation Council, Mikhail Bochkarev, and immediately release him.
