Kyiv: In "Chongar" border guards found a woman with a "passport" issued on the uncontrolled part of the Donetsk region.
"On the administrative border from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the State Border Guard employees together with representatives of the Main Directorate of the Security Service in Crimea found a Ukrainian citizen with an invalid document. On control, the woman presented a "passport", which was issued on the territory of certain districts of the Donetsk region, which are now under the control of Russian-terrorist forces, "the press service of the SBS.
It is noted that during the check-up, law enforcers established that a 52-year-old woman in the Crimea came through an inactive checkpoint in Kerch.
Now the Ukrainian border guards have made the appropriate administrative protocol. Then the citizen, together with the invalid document, the border guards handed over to the SBU for further verification.
Residents of the occupied territories will be able to obtain biometric passports under a special procedure. In order to obtain biometric passports, residents of the occupied Crimea and DNR/ LNR will need to provide additional documents. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine supports the introduction of a visa regime with Russia and believes that in the future this may not be enough.
