Kyiv: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia has undergone a large-scale hacker attack from abroad, said the country's Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini.
“The goal of a“ very elegant ”cyber attack was to get data and documents from the department’s computer network, he stated.
According to him, the hackers who attacked the Slovak Foreign Ministry are “a multinational, complex espionage organization.”
Pellegrini did not name which documents were the target of the criminals and whether they managed to get some information and when exactly the attack took place.
“The intervention was discovered by Slovakian military intelligence after computers began to function unusually,” he added.
