Kyiv: The bill of Ukraine No. 9183 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which establishes administrative and criminal responsibility for the promotion of same-sex marriage.
The draft law was submitted to the Government by Opposition MP Oleksandr Vilkul.
It was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“The propaganda of same-sex sexual relations that may affect the physical and mental health of the child’s moral and spiritual development is aimed at imposing a fine on citizens up to a one hundred non-taxable minimum income of citizens and imposing a fine on legal entities from five hundred to one thousand non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens ", the document states.
The deputy proposes to impose a fine on ordinary citizens for propaganda in the amount of 1,700 to 17 thousand hryvnias, and on legal entities and employees - from 17 thousand to 51 thousand hryvnias.
“For the importation, manufacture or distribution of literature promoting same-sex sexual relations, a fine up to 2.55 thousand hryvnias is imposed or a 6 months arrest, or restriction of liberty for up to 3 years with confiscation of works,” Vilkul said in the bill.
He also added that the promotion of same-sex relations in film and video production will incur a fine of 2.55 thousand to 5 thousand hryvnias or restriction of freedom for up to 5 years with the confiscation of film and video.
“For repeated actions or propaganda in literature or cinema, committed by the prior agreement will be put in prison for 3-5 years,” the deputy suggested.
