Kyiv: The situation with the Chechen-Ingush border will not improve without a decision to consolidate it. This was stated by the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
He noted that the decision on delimitation was made on the basis of this point of view.
“Without the border in front, it will definitely not be better, if not worse,” he said.
The leader also appealed to residents of the republics who were displeased with this decision.
“Stop trading this issue,” he urged.
It is reported that due to the actions of the authorities, a territorial dispute arising after the collapse of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic will be resolved. Since 1993, the border between the republics has not been approved.
The agreement, which was signed on September 26 and ratified by the Ingush parliament on October 4, provides for the exchange of non-residential areas.
Recall that in the capital of Ingushetia, Magas, for three days the actions of protest against revision of an administrative border of a republic with Chechnya continue.
