Kiev: As a result of a two-day battle with the Taliban Islamists for control of strategic roads in the province of Wardak, 10 policemen were killed.

"At least 10 Afghan policemen were killed in the battles against the Taliban in the central Afghan provinces of Wardak in Saturday and Sunday, trying to protect important lines of communication and protect the province’s main city, Mangal, from the onslaught of militants," the report said.
