Paris: In his 94th year the French singer, composer and actor Charles Aznavour died. Now the cause of his death is being established.
This was reported by the representative of the singer.
The relevant statement has already been made by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, on his official Twitter page.
"We share this grief. The masterpieces of Charles Aznavour, his stamp in our history will survive him," said Macron.
Charles Aznavour considered himself a Frenchman because he was born and started his career in France, but he never forgot about his Armenian roots. By the 60th anniversary of the genocide of Armenians Aznavour and his constant co-author Georges Garvarentz, the song "They fell" was written. The Armenian theme also includes songs "Autobiography", and "Tender Armenia".
Charles Aznavour was married three times. From the first marriage, he has a daughter Seda. 1967 Aznavour married the Swedish Ulla Thorsel (in Las Vegas). They had three children, to whom Aznavour gave Russian names: Misha, Katya, and Nicholas.
On October 20, musician Charles Aznavour was to perform from a solo concert in Kyiv.
