MOSCOW (FNI) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the age of women's retirement at 63 is unacceptable.
According to him, it should be reduced to 60 years.
"The retirement age for women should not increase more than for men. Therefore, I consider it necessary to reduce the proposed increase in the pension age for women from 8 to 5 years, "Vladimir Putin said.
The draft law proposes to increase the retirement age for women by 8 years - up to 63 years, whereas for men it increases by five.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the first reading a bill on raising the retirement age in Russia. As noted, this bill "On the improvement of the pension system" was supported by 328 deputies, against - 104.
