KYIV (FNI) - Policemen of the Odessa region detained two suspects in the case of a robbery attack on a private entrepreneur in a village in the Limanskiy district.
This Friday, August 10, the press service of the Limansk police department in the Odessa region reports.
According to law enforcers, an attack on a store located on the territory of private households was carried out by unknown persons wearing masks. After beating the owner and threatening him with a knife, the attackers demanded money. But the man managed to escape. The attackers took valuable things and money and disappeared from the scene.
"In the course of carrying out the first operational search activities within the framework of the complex operational and preventive testing of the region, in a few days the police established the identity and whereabouts of the suspects. They were previously convicted for robbery, and deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm to the 27-year-old and 43-year-old residents of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district," the report said.
As noted by law enforcers, the suspects - previously convicted for serious crimes are residents of the region. They were detained under article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Detention by an authorized official).
The suspects confessed to committing a crime. Material evidence was confiscated from them during the detention. The issue of electing him a measure of restraint is being decided. The information is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 3 of Art. 187 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation continues.
