KYIV (FNI) - Pilots of the budgetary airline Ryanair started one of the largest strikes in the history of the country. As a result of the strike, 400 flights were canceled, 250 of them in Germany. Passengers were asked to postpone the flight to another day or get money for tickets purchased. The protest will last 24 hours, starting at 4:00 on August 10. The reason for not visiting the workplace was a misunderstanding with the airline management regarding wages and tariff agreements.

Detailed information about the strike is given by DW.

In general, about 55,000 passengers will suffer from the strike, of which more than 42,000 passengers will be affected in Germany. They were offered to postpone the flight for another day or get back money for the ticket. Payment of other compensation to passengers, the leadership of Ryanair rejects, reports DW

In addition to Germany, Ireland, Sweden and Belgium take part in the strike. Also, the chairman of the trade union, Martin Loher, apologized to the company's customers for the inconvenience caused.

The plane followed from the Irish capital of Dublin to Croatia, but was forced to land in Germany because of technical problems.
