KYIV (FNI) - Russia unreasonably denied Amnesty International human rights activists to visit Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov.
The international organization commented on this decision.
"The denial of the right to visit Sentsov is unfounded. After almost three months of his hunger strike, there are serious concerns about his state of health. We planned to visit Oleg accompanied by an independent medical expert who will be able to assess his health. In order to dispel all doubts about Oleg's health status and the adequacy of the assistance given to him, such a visit is mandatory, "Amnesty International reported.
Recall that the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova appealed to the Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights of Germany, Berbel Kofler, for help through conflicting information about the state of health of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov.
