KYIV (FNI) - As a result of the attacks by ISIL militants in the south-western region of Syria, more than 200 people were killed by local residents. A total of 215 attacks were carried out on the government areas of the province of Svid in southwestern Syria. Also, Jihad militants stormed several villages and installed explosive devices in the provincial capital of Svidi.
The head of the sanitary department of the province of Švieda said that during the attack on the province, 215 people were killed and 180 injured. 75 militants were killed, reports Reuters. Such information was also confirmed at the Monitoring Center of the Syrian Human Rights Observatory.
The military, controlled by the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, recently regained control over the areas in the area that the rebels had previously controlled, and are currently trying to clear the territory of the ISIL militants.
