KYIV (FNI) - The former head of Ukrainian diplomacy Leonid Kozhara believes that tomorrow's opening of the Ukrainian-Serbian business forum with the participation of the presidents of Ukraine and Serbia can positively affect bilateral relations between the countries.
Kozhara added that between Ukraine and Serbia are now "not at the highest level" and such a meeting between Peter Poroshenko and Alexander Vucic is not the main thing in the schedule of the head of the Ukrainian state.
"With Serbia, unfortunately, relations at this stage are not of the highest level, very low volumes of trade, there are no special, mutual political interests. It seems to me that this is not the most important visit of the president for today. I am positive about the opening of the Ukrainian-Serbian business forum, as it can well influence the low volume of bilateral trade, and also play a role in the further development of relations between Ukraine and Serbia, "Kozhara told Front News International on Monday.
On Tuesday, July 3, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay a working visit to Serbia, where he will meet with the head of state Aleksandar Vucic and together they will open the Ukrainian-Serbian business forum.
