KYIV (FNI) - The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, Mohammad Ali Jafari, said that in Iran they can increase the range of their missiles, but they are not going to do so yet.

According to him, at the moment there is no need to increase the range of defeat of Iranian missiles, the technical characteristics of the current weapons quite allows to protect Iran.

"We are scientifically able to expand the range of missiles from the scientific point of view, but so far this is not our policy, because many of the enemy's strategic goals are at a distance of 2,000 kilometers, so the enemy does not dare to look to the left of the Islamic Republic," Ali Jafari was quoted in the Tasnim news agency.

On Wednesday, May 9, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Otaimeen, said that Iran had been developing ballistic missiles in defiance of a nuclear deal.
