Kyiv: On Sunday, December 17, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will begin his two-day working visit to Portugal. This was reported in the press service of the Presidential Administration.
"On December 17-18, 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay an official visit to the Portuguese Republic. During the visit, the head of the Ukrainian state is scheduled to meet with Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa, and the President of the Portuguese Assembly Eduard Ferri Rodriguez," said in the statement.
It was also noted that a number of bilateral documents will be signed in Portugal, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Portugal.
In addition, the President of Ukraine will hold a meeting with the Ukrainian community living in Portugal.
In July 2017, Portuguese Foreign Minister Augusto Silva said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin that Ukraine should cooperate more with the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.
