Kyiv: Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine missed three lawyers for the detained former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili.
Now the interrogation of the ex-head of Odessa Regional State Administration is being carried out, and then the court will select a measure of restraint for him. Former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili were detained by officers of the National Police of Ukraine on behalf of the Prosecutor General's Office.
"In pursuance of the instruction of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, Mikheil Nikolozovich, a citizen of Saakashvili, detained on wanted list, was detained by the National Police, on December 21, The detention was held in the Solomenskiy district of Kyiv. The latter was transferred to the investigator of the criminal investigation body," the National Police said.
It is noted that no one was injured during the detention.

At night, on December 9, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko confirmed the detention in Kyiv of the former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
"According to the search warrant, the National Police officers found the location of Saakashvili on the street. Otradniy in Kyiv and detained him," said Lutsenko.
He noted that Saakashvili was placed in a temporary detention facility.
"Investigative actions and appeals to the court to select a preventive measure are planned. As promised, the security officials did their best to avoid extreme violence and blood," Lutsenko added.
In the evening of December 8, law enforcement officers detained Saakashvili in Kyiv, David Sakvarelidze said.
"They detained Mikheil. They are taking him to Askold at the SSU," said Sakvarelidze.
