Kyiv: US President Donald Trump today met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo
Abe before the G7 Summit in Taormina, Italy. The leaders of the countries
discussed the tightening of sanctions against the DPRK because of the
development of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. This was reported by the
press service of the White House.
"President
Trump and Prime Minister Abe agreed that their teams will cooperate to
strengthen sanctions against North Korea, including by identifying and
punishing those supporting North Korea's nuclear and missile programs,"
the report said.
Donald
Trump also noted that cooperation with Japan and the Republic of Korea is
strategic for the US in the field of security.
Earlier,
Trump called terrorism, migration and Russia the main challenges of NATO in the
future.
