Kyiv: More than two thousand people gathered under the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday, October 17, the correspondent of Front News International reports.

The protesters hold in their hands posters and flags of the political opposition forces "Rukh of the New Forces", "Fatherland", "Samopomich", "People's Control", "European Party of Ukraine", as well as Ukrainian state flags.

The demonstrators chant "Gang away!". On the posters it is written "Away from the Rada of the Powers, the anti-popular front, the Poblokovites, the traitors of Avakov, Groysman and his gang."

Among the demands of activists is the restriction of parliamentary immunity, the introduction of amendments to the electoral legislation, de-fursorization, the creation of an independent anti-corruption court and the recognition of the war in the Donbas.

In addition, the demonstrators are calling for the return of Ukrainian citizenship to the former head of the Odessa Regional State Administration and former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and to pass a law on the impeachment of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

The government quarter is surrounded by law enforcement. To go to the rally, activists must pass through metal detectors, and people also check bags.
