Bishkek: Candidate from the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov wins the presidential election in the country with a result of 54.81% support. Such data are published by the Central Election Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

On the second place is the leader of the parliamentary faction "Respublika-Atazhurt" Omurbek Babanov, receiving 33.74% of the vote. The third place was taken by the chairman of the party "Butun Kyrgyzstan" Adakhan Madumarov - he has 6.48% of the vote.

"Voter turnout is 55.93%. A total of 1,692,423 citizens voted, "CEC representative Nurzhan Shayldabekova said. According to her, 98.31% of ballots have already been processed.

Official results will be announced before November 4 this year. If Jeenbekov receives more than 50% of the vote, there will not be a second round of presidential elections, and Jeenbekov will become the next president of Kyrgyzstan. Prior to participating in the elections, he served as prime minister of the country.

The current president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev did not run for the current presidential election. He has been at the head of the state since 2011.
