Barcelona: The head of the Government of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont said that the independence of Catalonia will be announced in a few days.
"We are going to declare independence 48 hours after the official count of all votes. Probably, this process will end when we get our votes from abroad, that is, by the end of this week or at the beginning of the next one, "Puigdemont said in an interview with the BBC.
He added that now the Spanish authorities have no contact with the Catalan government.
Recall, on October 1, the authorities of Catalonia held a referendum on independence from Madrid, contrary to the decision of the Constitutional Court of the country on its illegality.
